Composite doors are becoming more and more popular and continuously improving. The way composite doors are glazed has not kept pace with the advances of technology and construction of the present composite door. You used to have to screw the back cassette to the front one; hence the need for unsightly screw covers. This resulted in having to carry twice the stock. Usually ending up with odd cassettes.
As if this is not enough, they also required spraying. This meant that they could peel or scratch, which during transportation happened all the time. Since touch-up is usually not an option, replacing the cassette is the only other option, and this costs more money.
