 Curite Technical
The beautifully grained Curite cassette is the future of composite doors glazing. One of the most important benefits that you will instantly notice is that the back is the same as the front. This is a major benefit for stock control.

The Curite cassette comes ready with PE foam weather seal (double sided tape) and all you need to do is position the connector in place and push together (for additional security, inject with a liquid nail product prior to inserting the connectors). This eliminates the need for screws and screw covers and provides the most reliable of weather seals.

Supplied in (UV stable) through colour and grained to look like timber, it will not require painting, thus eliminating many Health and Safety issues.

The patented design of the connector, which Curite uses, means that with minimal effort, the two sides of the cassettes can easily be connected together.

All the cassettes’ glass sizes are compatible with other internationally available glazing systems. This revolutionary new cassette has been designed to easily replace existing methods.

All our colours are guaranteed for ten years and are colour-through. If we do not have your colour, please ask.

Glass Thickness: The size of your slab less 20 mm.

Please ask about the 68mm slab cassettes.

DATA SHEET – CURITE GLAZING CASSETTE SYSTEM

Old System
1. The product was time consuming to fit and the finished result unsatisfactory
2. The product used ill fitting screw capping that were the source of complaint
3. The product required painting to achieve the required final colour
4. The product suffered from paint scratches in service

Curite has the following benefits:
- CURITE comprises a through coloured injection moulded plastic cassette with wood graining to its surface.
- The system uses a series of clips to retain product halves and this is in place of the original screw fixings.
- The system is no longer handed i.e. it is no longer comprised of ‘inner’ & ‘outer’ halves and stock holding is much simpler.
- The system has self-adhesive PE foam weather seals as standard.
- The system is standard -20mm off sash thickness = glass thickness (44mm sash = 24mm glass)

ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the cassettes from the sash and press fit the clips to the cassette clip receivers within the part to be used as the outer half. NOTE: Applying EVO-STIK ‘Serious stuff’ or similar on all clips will seal the glass with the outmost security.
2. Peel back self adhesive tape cover to expose adhesive on the tracks of the cassette half to be fitted to the outside of the door.
3. Position the cassette half carefully and evenly within the glazing aperture of the door – to the outside of the door sash; press home the seal around the outer edge of the cassette.
4. Position the glass carefully within the aperture (make sure it is equally spaced from all clip receivers before allowing it to touch the adhesive).
5. Peel back self adhesive tape cover to expose adhesive of the tracks of the, as yet, unfitted cassette half. Apply adhesive to the clip receivers if chosen to use this.
6. Carefully align ALL of the clips visually into the receivers of the half being positioned and bring the cassette half down evenly to engage all clips.
7. Work the cassette down progressively to fully engage the clips moving around the edge pressing it together whilst generally supporting the other side.
8. Once the two halves are together press firmly together to make full seal contact and ensure effective weather seal, visually inspecting foam compression.

Double-Sided Tape
The double-sided tape (PE Foam tape) used by Curite has been tested for water resistance and is manufactured in China.
